How Our Service Works

When you call Best Friend For Hire, we arrange for a FREE visit to your home to:

• meet you and your pets
• get detailed information about caring for your pets and your home
• get veterinary release signature
• pick up a door key
• complete a service agreement

During this visit, you decide how often you want your sitter to visit each day and what services you want performed.

Pet Care:

• LOTS OF TENDER LOVING CARE
• fresh food and water
• brushing, combing, exercising and playing with them
• giving medications, vitamins, or other special care
• arranging for medical treatment in case of illness
• meticulous litter box maintenance
• indoor clean up of pet messes.

Home Care:

• bringing in the mail and newspapers
• adjusting drapes and lights
• watering your indoor plants
• bring trash to curb on trash day
• handling other minor household tasks as requested

Final quote of fees will be determined at the consultation visit depending on each situation.

Pet Sitting (up to 30 min.) $25.00 for 1 pet, $5.00 per additional pet
Each visit is for any pet: dogs, cats, caged pets. We will come to your home and care for your pets per your instructions.  

Dog Walking  (20 to 30 min.) $25.00 for 1 dog, $5.00 per additional dog
The visit includes a walk around the neighborhood, checking their water, and giving a treat (if allowed by you). Each walk is designed to fit the specific needs of your pet (seniors may be different than puppies).

Overnight Care (12 hrs: 7pm–7am) $100.00 (10 hrs.: 9pm-7am) $85.00
We keep your pets company at night and make the house look lived in. Morning walks are included. This service may be what your puppy or senior dog needs for potty breaks through the night or for the pet that needs a substitute snuggler!

Pet Transportation $25.00 roundtrip within 10 miles
When your vet or groomers office only has a small time block available and your schedule doesn’t allow for it, we can transport your pet to get the care or spa treatment they need.   Or, if your pet goes to daycare we do a drop off/pick up or both.  Wait time is available if your pet doesn’t want to be alone, please ask.

Pet Errands
Your pet is out of food, needs medication, bedding, etc. and you don’t have time to stop by the store or you forgot while you started on vacation? Don’t worry, call us and we will take care of it for you.

**There is a one time holiday surcharge of $25.00 for the following holidays:  New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve.
